Need a break from the rythm of everyday life? Want to rest here and be at peace? Come and be awed by the beauty of nature
Sheltering from the sun under the trees. Whether you’re a morning riser or a night owl, you may see a deer, or a fox. If you keep your ears and eyes open, you may see rabbits, squirrels or the occasional weasels. If you’re not lucky to approach them, you’ll see the signs they were there…and maybe next time?
The woods also provides for tasty riches. If you like mushrooms, you can enjoy our ceps. Let’s share recipes…
Across from the woods, the meadow opens up onto the land. It’s the place where smaller friends live, the very useful insects. Beetles, bees, butterflies, grasshoppers, etc. Their presence is a sign of balance and health of the environment. They also tend to attract birds. Relax and gaze at the colours of the flowers. Maybe some insects will be caught by some more unusual specimens!
You’ll find the self serve vegetable garden in the meadow. Activities go with the seasons: come in April or May and plant radishes, carrots and lettuce. In May and June you’ll find cucumbers, squash and peppers, as well as tomatoes. The choice of crops ensures a harvest all summer long, until the early days of fall. Your taste buds will like that…
Schedules for the various workshops will depend on weather and a few biodynamics principles. As far as the yield, we bow to nature’s will.
… Sautée the ceps with a little garlic and parsley you’ll find in the herbal bushes
… Make a treehouse in the woods…but be careful while building it
The islet we call the Oasis… like an island in the meadow, is a haven of peace and an invitation to relax or meditate. A few magnificent trees offer a shady spot. Get comfortable, breathe deeply, listen to nature… Put time on hold and enjoy the moment in this place of well-being and resourcing.
Want to be with yourself ? Pick up a tome from the book box: novels, poetry, philosophy. You came with someone? Enjoy our classic board games: checkers, backgammon.
One of the finest experiences in life is to walk in nature with someone, and talk about this or that. The conversation keeps the walkers together and sometimes, something in nature just calls for silence
