Every day, you can order bread and pastries that Richard bakes on site. Following our “zero waste” guidelines, we have gone through the stock of paper bags we were using to pack them. We have then replaced them with more sustainable containers, small banners and homemade bags. We are upcycling.
The paper bag that serves for a few dozen meters, is not a satisfactory solution! So, I made my own bags, of different shapes and sizes, from old sheets that were sleeping in our closets. I chose to make English seams to prevent crumbs and seeds from getting stuck inside.
We offer you this bread bag for the duration of your stay, you just have to remember to take it every morning!
I chose to give a second life to the sheets that our big kids don’t use anymore. It’s a way to get rid of them without throwing them away! This activity kept me busy for a few evenings last winter and as you can see, I was sometimes disturbed in my work!
